Youtube videos of songs from 1980's UK oi bands - from the left to the right - obscure & otherwise. I try to touch base with at least one song from everything in a bands 80's catalog or other noteworthy releases, but the aim is to get whole releases on the page. I am keeping politics out of this shit & as long as a bands sound is mostly Oi! & it's from the UK in the 1980's, then I will put it on here. You all have brains - judge for yourselves.

"new" band - Skunx
even though they've broken up and can't be boxed into one style, check out my friends band from Toronto - Skunx. They had a variety of influences from 80's british oi to uk82 style punk, with weird postpunk melodies and 1980's french, south american and italian oi + more. They ranged from fast punk songs to midtempo oi stompers with their own unique sound. Here's a few of the more oi type songs:
i will fill this in later, for now hear more Skunx and check out UK'82 punk bands here: http://UK82punk.blogspot.com

Toy Dolls
A unique, goofy punk band who are really in a category all of their own, the band being basically the child of high pitched frontman/only consistent member, soap opera addict and guitar virtuoso, "Olga" aka Micheal Algar. The Toy Dolls got loosely associated with oi music from their contributions the 1981 "Strength Thru Oi!" compilation, and really made their mark on the public with their following 1982 single, "Nellie The Elephant". They have released a slew of singles, eps and albums over the years, and are a good band to play if you want to infuriate your coworkers and have other men accuse you of being "gay" and/or "fucking retarded". Here's a few of their songs from some of their 80's releases.

Distorted Truth
another stretch - just a punk band really, but the song "Party Political Bullshit" gets thrown onto oi comps.

updates/news
I filled in most of the Cockney Rejects and the Blaggers and added a couple of bands. I'm gonna fuck with the "fake / comp bands" post or whatever the hell i called it and give some of those bands their own pages in hopes that i can dig up more demos, and keep that post just for the millions of stupid fake and stupid bands from the oi comps. I feel guilty leaving bands like TDA, Hostile Youth and the Accused laying around next to that dumb shit. I will be updating some other old ones that need filling in and adding a few bands yet. I am always on the lookout for demos and the like so feel free to send shit my way.

If you say you like oi music, and you don't like this band then you might as well go jump off of a fucking cliff. Soon - a bio and any missing songs filled in.

Britanarchists
I don't really know who the fuck Nick Toczek is other than he basically annoys me with his singing and i think i read once that he's some left wing socialist type. This isn't isn't really oi, but fits in with a lot of the looser, less boxed-in sounds from early oi comps. The first incarnation of Britanarchists is Nick with The Burial and some other group, then other artists later and some solo shit or something... really, i don't give a fuck about this but that "stiff with a quiff" song ain't half bad - and i am also including a later song i stumbled upon because it's not as terrible as the early material.

Frankie & the Flames / Franky "Boy" Flame
Franky Flame is a London pianist and singer/songwriter. His impact on oi music started with his pub rock band "Frankie and the Flames" (featured on the "Oi! Oi! That's Yer Lot!" comp.) and his many cameos on the keys with London groups such as the Blood, the Gonads & the Business. He continues to play to this day, in various bands and international collaborations, as well as solo - being the center of many a drunken singalong. Here are some of the Flames' more oi-leaning/drunk friendly songs. I will add some of his other contributions to 80's oi music later.
